Harper is the chief financial officer/chief operating officer at the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland. Harper joined the Landon Community in July 2021, and previously served as chief financial officer at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York. Harper has many years of independent school experience. As the director of finance and operations at the Lake Forest Country Day School near Chicago, he supervised several major capital improvement projects, including renovations of their innovation lab, gymnasium and performing arts center. Harper began his career in the business world in consulting, finance and franchise management, eventually transitioning to working to independent schools when he joined the faculty of his alma mater, The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. He holds a BS from the University of Pennsylvania.
